Known Bugs: Sometimes, the normal command stations wont control turrets. Just place another command station from the inventory station, and both should work properly.

Client Install: NONE. 
	Notes for Client Playing the mod. Weapons can only be accessed
	by Selecting "Next Weapon" or "Previous Weapon". There are no
	numbers assigned to the new weapons. 

Server Install: 
	1. Create a directory named renegades under the Tribes main directory.
	2. Unzip the scripts.vol file into there.
	3. Move the renegades.cs file into your tribes\config directory.	 
NOTE: if the renegades.cs is automatically named something else when you copy it into the config/ directory, rename it to renegades.cs


When installed The Files Should be here:

 Tribes\renegades\Readme.txt
Tribes\config\renegades.cs

To start the server with this mod go to DOS and the tribes directory and type
  tribes -mod renegades

or for a dedicated server type

   tribes -mod renegades -dedicated

NOTE:  Make sure you have the tribes 1.3 version installed first!  just download it at
www.tribesplayers.com and get instructions there.

Alright guys, version 1.3 of the Renegades mod is here! Thank you everyone for your great response and emails.  Lots of bug fixes, powers and added abilities.



-Renegades v1.3 Updates
------------------------------
- fixed a huge lag problem that came from a too big of a scripts.vol file. Now, all servers will run renegades MUCH faster.
- Fixed the ItemCount error, among other server errors that were causing bugs.
- Weapon adjustment: Added Magnum, and Vulcan. Made the Railgun a real Railgun, NOT a single barrel chaingun, its now similar to Quake2 style. Took out Gauss gun. It was not really a gauss, and it caused to much lag.
- Added new character powers.  Right now there is Disarm, and Medic touch.
Disarm is for the scout.  If you have enough inventory slots, and touch an enemy, you can pickpocket some of their items and weapons.  As you are doing this, you also poke them in the eyes, causing them to be blind for a second or two while you make off with their stash.
-Added Medic-Touch for the engineer.  Now the Engineer can heal teammate's just by touching them, without the need of the repair pack.
-Back by popular demand, re-added the command station.
-Also back by popular demand, made it to where you can now control the new types of turrets.
-If you have sniper rifle, laser rifle, or magnum, and you shoot the enemies hand, you can knock their weapon away.  
-Lowered the AF on the teleporters (annoying factor).  I took away the insane radius damage, the self-destruction, and beefed them up.  Hey, if it takes you 20 minutes to sneak that teleporter into the enemy base, you deserve not to have it get blown up with one blaster shot.
-The scouts concussion grenades now blow up multiple times, making them much more useful.
- Mines do not trigger on teamates, only for enemies. Its the future, we should have smartmines right?
-Added Cluster Bombs to the Bomber LPC.  Now you can see what you are trying to bomb. Well now you dont have to anyways, cause the cluster will most likely hit it.  Thanks to Savage1 for the cluster bomb idea.
-Added Interceptor Vehicle.  This is an Air-to-Air combat plane with dual blaster cannons. Great for thwarting enemy dropships, or other planes making a run for the border with your flag.
-Added an Interceptor Pack. Thats right, now you can carry a vehicle on the back of the scout class. Look at the ground, and deploy, and boom, your in an Interceptor.  It taps right into your team max of interceptors, so if you have already build too many, you cant place it.  This is great for maps that dont have vehicles at all, and for those on the go trips when your having trouble with those missiles in your tailpipe.
-Fixed a lot of other game element stuff.
-oh yeah, almost forgot, also by popular demand, included deployable Elf turrets.  You can even place em on walls and ceilings to make those enemy players fall to the ground at the most inopportune moment.
-Deployable Platforms:  Little useless looking items, unless you know the right place to use em.  They can be stacked almost anywhere, including on top of each other.  You can stick em on walls, and if you have good balance, climb up em.  You can stick them on top of your cube of force shields to make a roof and live in your little hut.  All kinds of cool ideas to use em for.
-Mechanical Trees-
You can stop laughing now. Before you go out and get your gardening tools, listen up.  They are good to hide behind, i.e.: snipers and targeters.  They have a decent amount of health, and their branches can protect you from incoming air attacks such as grenades, missiles, and mortars.  You can only place them on terrain, so u can cluster the important areas of your base such as the entrance, to fog up the viewing distance of snipers. Very handy. Try it out. Really.
-Large Force Field- The full size version. Each team can only have 2 so place them carefully.
-Added new Server options, from the Isomanix Admin mod.  Thanks to Savage1 for all these great options.

The Tribes have scattered
      As the war raged on, many grew tired of the constant war. It was not the fighting they hated. No, tribesmen lived for the call to battle. It was the reason.      
"Why?" They thought. "There is an entire galaxy for us to control. Why fight over this one little planet?"

      So, hundreds from each tribe slowly left the meaningless war. One by one, they found others throughout the galaxy who felt the same way, and many new tribes were created. Many new types of knowledge were sought after, rather than just warfare. Each deserter learned specific skills needed to best serve their new clan. Some became hunters, or scouts, or even engineers to help build their new empires on planets they came across. Later, as other tribes were run into, spies were trained to make sure that the other clans did not interfere with their own doings. Finally, it happened. No one knows for sure how, or why, if it was an argument over a planet or solar system, or who had crossed into the others sacred grounds by mistake, but it happened. WAR. It must be that the tribesmen needed to be a part of what they had missed all this time. However, this time, they were ready. They had learned many new skills and new technology had arose to do battle with. The renegades were at war.

Character Classes 
Scout
      The scout prides himself on speed and agility. While being able to carry few weapons, his quickness in running into an enemy base and returning with a flag is unmatched. 

Number of weapons: 2
Speed: Fastest
Resistances/Weaknesses: The scouts armor is shock resistant, enabling him to survive great falls, or plane crashes.
Grenade Type: Concussion
Ability: Disarm
Special Item: Interceptor Pack


Spy
      The guy who always sneaks in behind enemy lines. If its to mine enemy stations, to taking out specific targets unnoticed, or planting sniper laser turrets, or just causing chaos and confusion in general, this is your man.

Number of weapons: 3
Speed: Fast
Resistances/Weaknesses: Does not like explosions, but he has a kevlar(bullet and debris resistant) vest under that suit.
Grenade Type: Decoy Flag Mine
Special Item: Laser Turret, cloaking device, Magnum, Command Laptop


Sniper
      Need I explain? This guy should make a lot of you campers out there happy. He needs a sign that says "You're Dead!" on him because if you can see him you probably are.

Number of weapons: 3
Speed: Fast
Resistances/Weaknesses: About average, but prefers to stay out of direct combat, in favor of assassinating enemies from afar. (cmon campers dont drool on your keyboards now) 
Grenade Type: Extra Mines. The sniper prefers to avoid direct combat. He can still buy grenades, but they turn into mines, so that he can protect his little ambush campsite.
Special Item: Sniper Rifle, Mechanical Trees


Mercenary
      One of the guys left over from the elder tribes, who have not forgotten the way to really fight. Everyone spawns in as this one. He is strong, moderately fast, and capable of using a large variety of weapons.

Number of weapons: 4
Speed: Medium
Resistances/Weaknesses: Fears nothing, laughs at nothing.
Grenade Type: Normal Grenades.
Special Item: Stinger, Vulcan, normal turret


Burster
      This guy played with matches when he was a kid. Now he plays with explosives. Likes anything that has to do with fire and blowing up stuff, but can only use weapons of that sort.

Number of weapons: 4 (Explosive only)
Speed: Medium
Resistances/Weaknesses: Has heat, fire, and explosive resistant armor. Its even air-conditioned! Bullets sometimes poke holes in that cool suit though.
Grenade Type: Napalm
Special Item: Stinger, Mortar, Rocket turret


Engineer
      This one is the fixit guy, who does anything from repairing the kitchen sink to getting your teams shields back up. He is skilled in turret design and is able to carry and place any turret.

Number of weapons: 3
Speed: medium
Resistances/Weaknesses: Dont really know. Most everyone is killed by his turrets before they can get to him.
Grenade Type: Extra Mines 
Special Item: any turret, teleporters, command laptop, railgun Mechanical Trees, Deployable Platforms
Ability: Medic Touch, 



Cyborg
      Heavily armed robot created for one purpose. To kill, and stay alive in the process. While not the fastest warrior, usually he doesnt have to run since everyone else is running from him.

Number of weapons: 5
Speed: Medium-slow
Resistances/Weaknesses: Bullets and other projectiles have a hard time getting through that titanium plated exo-skeleton, but lightning can short circuit him.
Grenade Type: Nukes.
Special Item: Mortar, Shockwave cannon, normal turret, vulcan cannon


Dragoon
      If the Cyborg is the heavy offensive unit, this one is the heavy defensive. Strong armor, massive weapon assortment, and the only one who can use the multipacks.

Number of weapons: 6
Speed: Slow
Resistances/Weaknesses: Likes pain. Likes to eat plasma turrets for lunch. Doesnt like scouts that run circles around him poking fun.
Grenade Type: Mortar Grenades.
Special Item: Mortar, StealthShields, Plasma and normal turrets, vulcan cannon


New Weapons 
Stinger Rocket Launcher-
Shoots a high powered rocket that is capable of knocking its target into oblivion.

Sniper Rifle- 
A silent, high velocity projectile gun used for assassination purposes. And you thought the laser rifle was good. 

Shockwave Cannon-
Must have energy pack. This weapon fires a high powered blast that creates a huge shockwave. While not doing much damage to its target, it is capable of knocking them great distances. 

Railgun-
This time its a real railgun.  Think Quake2.  Then run. Similar to Sniper rifle, but much heavier, louder, and can hold less ammo. Packs a punch though. Get POWER to give you the full description on  the technology of a railgun. He corrected me, and made the railgun better.

Vulcan Cannon-
 Chaingun on steroids.  Gotta try this out. nuff said. This is POWER's and my attempt to
make a good,  high speed weapon that can actually hit things when you are point blank. The normal Chaingun from tribes had none of these qualities.

Magnum- 
A powerful handgun that can knock weapons out of players hands.



New Packs 

Cloaking Device-
Undercover pack for the Spy, which jams enemy radar, as well as making you vanish. Thanks to savage1 for the original idea. 

StealthShields-
Multipack for the Dragoon, that functions as a Shield pack and a Jammer pack. Great way to get past the barrage of enemy turrets. 

Command Laptop-
A portable computer that has the same function as a Command Station.  The Spy and the Engineer can now hack into their teams turret controlling systems, and control them from anywhere, as long as they carry this pack.

Interceptor Pack
A deployable Interceptor that the scout can carry with him.  Look and the ground, deploy it, and BOOM your in a vehicle. Taps directly into your team interceptor max, so if you have already built too many, you cant deploy it.


New Deployables 
Elf Turret-
Just like the other ones, only you can stick these on ceilings and walls to suck those flag getters right back down.

Laser Turret-
Forget sniping! Just pop one of these down and laugh as your enemy gets assassinated before they even know what hits them.

Rocket Turret-
A portable version of the mother of all turrets. 

Plasma Turret-
You know that huge thing that always kills you at the enemy base? yep it has shields too. (note: it is a weaker version than the normal ones, and so it is able to be destroyed single-handedly if it is dealt enough damage.)

Force Shield-
Protect your loved ones and personal belongings with this beautiful blue wall of force. Stop those intruders in their tracks as they attempt to get to your flag. Thanks to Savage1 for the original idea. 

Large Force Field-
A giant sized version of the original.

Deployable Teleporter- 
Teleport pad that the engineer is able to place. Put down one, then go place another. All classes except Cyborg and Dragoon can walk on to it, teleporting to the opposite pad. 

Deployable Platforms-

New Kits 
Grenade Types
Concussion
Little damage, but can knock the enemy(or yourself) away. Great way to cover a quick escape or to knock those guards away from their posts. these also now blow up multiple times, keeping someone from getting close for a while.

Flag Decoy Mine-
Someone mad you took their flag? Throw one of these behind you to cover your tracks and listen to the screams. Great fun at parties. Find and Retrieve missions have a whole new meaning now. Its soo funny running into a room with 20 flags watching people trying to decide which one to pick up. :) (takes the place of grenades) 

Napalm Grenades-
Fiery explosions that do a lot of damage, but little knockback.

Mortar Bomb
Just like the big daddy one that comes from the gun. 

Nuke
For those with nothing but revenge on their minds. Creates a huge shockwave and splash damage. If you see this one coming, you had better run.

Speed Boost
Need that extra lift while running away? Can't make it up to the roof in that heavy armor? just inject one of these while running or jumping and you will soon be flying. (takes the place of beacons) 


New Vehicles 
Wraith
An unarmed scout that cloaks upon getting in. Great way to get past all those turrets. Decloaks after ejection. Careful! Sometimes the cloaker jams, so you may get that funny feeling, "now where did I park my Wraith".

Interceptor
An anti-air ship that is high speed and used in air-to-air combat.  Equipped with twin vulcan blasters.  Example of what to do with this ship: See that Stealth dropship coming for your base loaded with guys?  Jet on over there and blow them out of the sky.

BomberLPC
The LPC can now drop cluster bombs as it flies over the enemy. This is handy for taking out those pesky mini-turrets or people trying to blow you up as you drop off your friends.  Thanks to Savage1 for discovering the cluster bombs.

StealthHPC-
The HPC now is jammed to enemy radar. This is especially helpful because of its slow nature. Make sure to wake up your passengers when nearing enemy territory however. The jamming doesnt help much against trigger-happy renegades.
